Visual world-building for independent artists

A compact pre-production ritual for color, character, and camera decisions.

World-building is a set of constraints that make creative decisions faster. Write one sentence each for color, material, weather, architecture, and camera behavior before writing individual prompts.

Give every choice a job

A sodium streetlight can signal memory. A locked camera can make a chorus feel confrontational. When a visual choice has no relationship to the song, remove it rather than decorating every frame.

Keep a small continuity sheet

Record recurring wardrobe, props, time of day, and location details. Reuse that sheet across prompts so each scene feels like the next part of the same film.
